Will it overwrite my edits?
Hand-edited translations are detected and locked. Locked items are never touched by automatic runs. Translations that existed before you installed the App are kept and protected too; only those Shopify marks as outdated, because their source text changed, are refreshed, and the previous version stays in History. You can lock, unlock or restore items from the Translations page.
What happens when I uninstall?
Your translations stay in Shopify. No code is added to your theme, so there is nothing to clean up. The App's own records are deleted within 48 hours of uninstall when Shopify sends its redaction webhook.
Which content is translated?
Products, options, collections, pages, blogs, menus, filters, metafields, image alt text, policies, email templates and delivery method names. Theme text is optional in Settings. URL handles stay unchanged unless you opt in.
Which languages?
Translate into up to 20 languages per store, within Shopify's language limit. Every plan includes unlimited languages and words within that limit.
Which AI is used and is my content used for training?
Sorveno Translate uses Claude by Anthropic via the API. API inputs are not used to train models.
